Both me and my freind are running them. I run the ones with the flare his are without. They were realy easy to install and lokk great as long as you like black. Thr only problem I had was with shipping, box was fuct and I had to do some painting.
I had bought a set with no flare. My recommendation would be to strip the coating off, then weld them all up. The panels are just spot welded. Within about a month I had rust residue blowing down the side from the top panel and tube. My buddy just bought a set of the 3" flare tubers and IMO are on the poor side of quality, big gaping hole where top panel meets downword portion of flare.
Mine looked cool though. I ordered them when 4wd hardware was having a free shipping and 25% off sale.
They seems well built, but the coating is very poor. All my stuff is already rusting. I've had them on since June of this year. If your not in a hurry to get them on. I would strip the crappy coating off and paint them.
My drivers side was pretty bad. I was able to cut most of the rust out, but there was some in by that lip thats hidden by the hood...just had to leave that. It didnt make the new tuber sit on correctly though..
i put a set on a tj and the jeep sat for 3 months and and the coating flaked of and started to rust!!!!!!!
