just finishing up my tj and my buddys tj(wheelsofsteele). he did a 60 front w 60 rear out of a 79 ford. had a rubicon long arm so we changed the upper links in rear, tossed the rear trackbar and built a 3 link for the front. i did a 60 front 14 bolt rear,3 link front, leaves in the rear. streched to 103. i built new arms for the front and 2.5 currie joints. will post up pictures and more detail when i figure out how to get these pictures in photobucket. we started mikes jeep july 29 sun night and finishing it up today. his tj is a 1997 mine is a 2003. there is some diffrent stuff between the years.i will give detail on what we ran into.
shure is amazing all the wires that are not needed. going to be a mad dash the next week to make it's madden voyage memorial weekend.i have everything so it should be done.
will be running today! need to get hydraulic hoses done for steering,tap into my frame for the radiator.run a couple hoses,finish the switch panel and some other little stuff...drummond is calling me so i have to get it done.built my d shafts yesterday so as long as it runs and joe is as good as he says he is wiring:teehee:.it should move today!
it runs!! fired up and purrrs like a kitten. joe definetly knows his shit! thats a big relief,no clunks or weard stuff going on,all the gauges are done, radio is mounted, switch panel is done,all my led's are in,even have a horn and a interior light. fan is hard wired so i wont forget it. have to get my lines made tomorrow for my hydro.mount those, ram,bleed the clutch and hook the brakes up.then some exhaust and i will be wheelin!
thats what i meant.:sonicjay: been some long days. i put a torus fan in and it fit perfect.grabbed another for a spare.those things do move some air like everyone says!
