I stumble across this site; sounds like it could be interesting, we may have to check this out!

Michigan Moto Mania is going to be a one of a kind off road park for motorcycles, quads and various other vehicles. The land is located in Harrison, MI and is perfect for this type of compound. It is 200 acres of rolling terrain. This facility will be a year round operation and will have on site storage (50 units to start for bikes, quads, gear etc.), rustic camping, a bathroom and shower facility and a mechanics area.

got the second mx track roughed in, first track is gonna be more of a quad, side by track with flatter, open corners, no big jumps, and more open and fast. the newest track has huge elevation changes= 80 ft plus! been riding and workin on the tracks quite a bit, got to do some mud riding today, alot of fun.

I printed the Clare Review paper last night and on the front page it appears that allot of the neighbors are starting crap about the noise, tresspassing on there property up there. Hurting the wildlife areas, bullshit, bullshit.
Basically there gonna try to get the land use permit for a great park to stop. Filing legal actions and getting petitions. I hope that we as a community might help somehow if needed. We need this park and need to show our support anyway we can. Any comments

Based on the Clare Sentinel the lawsuit(s) are based on the failure of the Township to follow multiple laws. Looks like the broke no less than 4 laws regarding land use for residential property and zoning ordinances. Looks like they issued a "special use" permit, but those permits are only temporary and the property must be rezoned commercial to be operated as a business, along with dealing with the other laws broken to this point. Issue will be getting property rezoned after the fact now considering they have started legal proceedings.
They have another meeting next week and looks like a special meeting with be help 5/12 to inform the public of what the township will be doing to correct the "screw up" and address questions from the public.

I got a chance Monday to get a first hand ride and perspective of what is gonna be a kickass riding area. I met Doug and was shown the plans for what is being built and rode the boundrys of the property, this is big... I spent most of my time on the most finished track and ventured onto the rough one. There is some big steep hills and dropoffs and will definatly be worth visiting and becoming a member. The owner is super and has a badass scrambler built to the max. I'm hoping after talking with Ron, Eric, and Doug this becomes a premier destination for all who enjoy the sport.

Lets show support and if anyone has some time or heavy equipment to donate I'm sure Doug would welome it all, he has alot to do yet, but just like Rocks and Valleys over time it will benifit all involved.

Michigan Moto Mania needs our help right now more than ever. One of the neighbors has filed a lawsuit against Doug tryin to get a closure order. Next wednesday is the court date at the Clare County courthouse. We need all the support we can get for a show of support from all our offroad communities. With our help, support, and a little time, M3 will be the premier atv destination in Michigan, hands down.
