Had this issue on a buddies c6 recently, I made a bracket so that the transmission shift bracket was pointed up, instead of down..and ran the shift cable looped from the bell housing and Pointed toward the t case..instead of looping toward the t case pointed at the engine.
Ill c if I can get pictures for ya.

This ended up bringing all if the, cable and shift bracket above the trans pan and reversed from the normal installation. Gave tons more clearance for his front driveshaft to the cable, and made the cable set in plac better. Lots less tighr turns.

Confusing as hell but hope thay helps a lil.

sended frum dis stoopid fone.

Have a similar setup on mine but for reasons I cant remember at the moment I wasn't able to invert the shift lever on the transmission. So I left the lever pointed down and switched the shifter body around which pushes the cable as you move from Park to 1st.

I used the tapped holes in side of the bellhousing where the factory shifter pivot/kickdown cable bracket used to be.

The cable isn't long enough, to come from the bell housing to the shifter with the linkage pointed up. The cable would need to make an 'S' shape. And the cable that came with it is WAY to stiff to try and make the bends. The b and m cables could do it, but this one is much nicer and way more rigid then the cheap b and m's.

IF I could leave the winters shifter as it sits but make it push instead of pull that would be perfect. But I can't :sonicjay:

Need to fill fluids and hope for no leaks (all fluids).
Build a rear driveshaft yet but having trouble finding material to work with what I have.
Build my skid plate
mount pass seat and build shoulder strap tie downs
respool winch with my rope

I was really hoping to bring it to work today, even drove the box truck home last night with the off chance I might be able to. But couldn't.

While the winters/art carr is a nice unit, it sure is a motherfawking pain in the ass to deal with and set up. B and M is SO MUCH EASIER to deal with install.
