waggy = solid shafts and thicker tubes. very good axle IMO. stronger than a d44 too. paper thin stock diff cover, i suggest replacing it. rear disc conversion can be done with the front 44 brake rotors/calipers/caliper brackets. I run one, and have yet to do anything harmful to it. I run it 4.10's and welded on 36" TSL's.
AMC20 out of a FSJ is way better than the CJ version. As stated, heavier tubes and one piece axles. Lots of options for disc brake conversions. The diff cover is a thin POS. You'll need to construct some sort of guard to protect it.
