Motorcraft 2100 rebuild

Anyone know a good shop to rebuild/repair a carb not to far from lake Orion ?
It is off a 1978 Cherokee chief.
Replacement may be necessary as I think the screws that hold accelerator pump cover are striped ..

Thanks for any tips you might have

Check out this site, and then see if you really want to pay to have it done. The 21xx is a real easy rebuild.

As for the bolts, borrow a friends tap set, and take them up to the next largest size in metric. It will be so small of a difference that the top holes will still be fine. Remember, there is no fuel above the bowl, so the top screws do not get cranked down.

One last reminder: when you install a carb, you bet the nuts finger tight, and then you tighten each nut a quarter turn at a time going from one side to the one diagonal from it. Take your time. If you crank one down, and then go to another, you will crack the base.
