I have seen a recurring figure in my house around Christmas, so I totally believe.

how about you?

there is no doubt in my mind that "spirits" are real, my grandma had one in her house for the longest time, it would move around boxes and open the attic window, either that or someone was playing an prank on her (she lived alone).

I don't know about ghosts as much spirits & guardian angels. I believe my guardian angel is my Uncle Dave who passed before I was born but my Mom (his sister) and others say we would have gotten along great and I am alot like him in some aspects. I've had "encounters" with him I feel. Can't wait to meet him someday

I have only gotten a good look once.

It looked like fog had taken the form of a person in my bathroom, not much features that I cared to notice in .021 seconds it took me to get outta there.

Any other time, I will see a haze go by a doorway, or hear a chair being pushed accost the upstairs floor...no chairs are up there that aren't on wheels, and everybody will be downstairs eating lunch.

When I was like 13 or 14 I had built a Lego spaceship. I strung fishing line around curtain rods and our celling fan and tied it to the Lego ship so I could "fly" it. While the family was eating, our 2 dogs went nuts running into the other room and stopped at the doorway, we all went to see what was going on only to see Lego parts at the end of fishing line flying all over.

My sister on the other hand had a short conversation with who she thought was my dad, she was alone upstairs doing something in our attic (we were installing siding/insulation), the attic door is opposite my parents room. My sister"turned around and saw my dad sitting on the edge of the bed watching her, I don't recall what she said, but when me and my dad started coming up stairs she freaked.

She said it looked just like my dad.

I have seen my old Newf that we put down 5 years ago. He still wakes me up panting in my face. I have tripped over him in the hall way, in the middle of the night. My other 2 dogs have freaked out when I have seen him jump on the bed at night. They just scatter, and look back like WTF with their ears pulled back.

When you say you have seen him is it like plain as day or transparent??

I think that everyone has had or felt something like this. Most choose not to belive there own eyes or sences for what ever reason. Others think it is a sign of weekness if they admit that something strange just happened. or unwilling to accept that something could be different in there world then what they have been taught.

This is funny that this is being brought up. I think I had a ghost incounter this weekend at my house. It had to do with a light turning on and off and a gril who works in a haunted building that was over at the time (we just came from her work together). Then she had some lights turining on and off at work the next day and then another person from her work had the same things going on. It was very weird, but revolved around said girl. For once, I am not joking.

I believe. I have never seen orbs or foggy visions in real life, but I have had them show up in pictures. The last three pictures my dad took on his camera all have significant orbs in them. After he died I used the rest of the film and nothing after the pictures he took turned out. The camera wasn't opened or anything to my knowledge to screw up the film. Dunno.

I believe that my mom leaves me pennies--I find them in all sorts of weird places, and usually after I have a thought of her; usually right after I think of her there will be a penny on my desk, on the ground, etc. My dad leaves dimes. Same experience, but it's a dime instead.

A friend of mine, Ruth, can sense spirits very clearly. She went with another friend to look at a house the friend was planning to buy. Ruth refused to go upstairs as she had a sickening feeling and began to feel rather scared like there was a murder scene upstairs. She told the realtor that she wasn't going as she could swear that someone was dead upstairs. The realtor said that there was an "alledged murder" in the home several years ago. Mind you, Ruth had never seen the house or heard the story before. She has lots of experiences like this.

I truly believe that my guardian angels watch out for me. I believe that my kids can sense things and have told me things about their grandparents that no one else has told them. When I ask how they know this, they say "grandma told me" or "grandpa told me."

when i first moved into this house i knew that 2 people had died in it of old age. so my friend and i went into my basement with all the lights off huddled in sleeping bags and brought out the weejie board. i remember talking to a 'spirit' and it gave us his name, and i asked my mom if that was the old man who died, she didnt know so she asked our new neighbors who the older couple was and sure enough it was the same name. my mom threw the weejie baord out the next day.

somthing weird though - after i go to bed everynight, about 10 mins after im IN bed, everything in my room 'settles'. its really weird. clothes that were half in a drawer or over a hamper will fall on the ground and my tv and computer monitor will make a crack sound and my mouse will wakeup my computer screen. now i dont think its spirits, but it still freaks me out every night

Did it have a red hat, white beard, belly that shakes like a bowl full of jelly?
Eat's your cookies and drinks your milk?

I do believe it's possible, but haven't ever seen anything myself, but I've gotten some pretty creepy feelings sometimes. I grew up in a house in Fenton TWP that had burned down long before I was alive and rebuilt. Never found out if anyone died in the fire. The "old" part of the house always had some creepyness to it, as did the shed and barn. Then again I was a kid.

Quija boards are a fun way to scare your friends. I have a home-made board that a woman made for me a long time ago. She claimed to be a "white witch" I was 15 and she was trying to scare me and my friends. We weren't scared by her but we had much fun with that board. I still have it in the basement.

My Newf wakes me up with the panting and cold nose too but she's still alive. Does that mean she could be waking me like this even after she dies now? I really like sleeping in. The breeder failed to mention this detail to me.

about a month ago I was sitting in the living room and kept feeling a draft (-10 outside). Its a old house and my roomates usually leave shit open so I thought nothing of it. It persisted so I got up to check doors. As soon as I opened the door I heard someone walking upstairs. I had only been home for 20 minutes or so and there was a car in the driveway so I thought one of my roomates was home. Turned off the light and nothing happened...there is only one light switch and one light. Gettin kinda freaked out so I grabbed a beer and sat back down. 45 minutes later the roomate I thought was upstairs walked in .

An old guy died in that house a long time ago..is it him? Maybe but the least he could do is shut off the fawkin light when he floats out of a room.

logically i would have to argue that if you don't believe in alternate spirits such as ghosts/demons/etc you cannot believe in angels either.

Not really sure on what i really believe in on this subject but the above comment I made is a valid objective thought on the subject

From a purely biblical standpoint (not that this is a biblical question unless you happen to be Christian):

Angels exist, but are creatures of Heaven and are not "ascended" dead people.

Demons exist as arch angels cast down from heaven.

Both Angels and Demons can manifest themselves on earth. There are several examples in Genesis of both.

Interestingly, all Angels are males in the bible. Look it up, you'd be surprised.

Human spirits at the time of death either enter heaven through Jesus Christ, or are damn to hell. There is no "in-between" purgatory in which to come back as orbs and float around houses turning on lights and giving pennies to their relatives.

ghosts... no

spirits ... no

Although I think when people generally say "ghosts" or "spirits", they get confused with their own intuition.... I know I have had a few times where I felt something was wrong, and later find out that a family member was in the hospital... etc
