1981 Jeep CJ-7.
The body was painted silver a few years ago. body and frame are completely rust free. the floor is bed-lined. It has a custom built cage that is tied into everything. The corner guards are full length and tied into the sliders. It has gen right steel fenders, grill hoop, winch guard etc.
the suspension is a combination of BDS military wrap springs in the front with 14" 5150 bilstein shocks. the rear is a dual triangulated 4 link with coil springs, and 12" 5150 bilstein shocks.
The axles are a 35 spline king pin dana 60 in front, and a FF dana 60 in the rear. both have tru-tracks.
Engine is a chevy 350. Its got an "off-road" style edelbrock carbuerator for off camber situations. headers, dual exhaust, etc. It's got an SM465 manual transmission, and NP 205 transfer case.
Tires are 37" GY MTR kevlars. sad to say but I've put maybe 40 miles on them. They're mounted on H2 rims milled out for the D60 hubs.
Also has a warn winch mounted on it, aluminum fuel cell behind the seats, best top all weather seats, 4 pt harnesses. AGR steering box with HD mount.
I've been away in the military for a few years now and won't be coming back to Michigan any time soon. I'll be sad to see it go. I'll also throw in an aluminum radiator, taurus fan, and hydraulic ram that I didn't get around to installing. I didn't find time to paint the axles and links, so they have a bit of surface rust on them. It's located in watervliet MI (exit 41 on I94) feel free to stop by and take it for a test drive.
