Started out with some 1/8 plate to cover Dana 300 and drive shaft. I know some may think 1/8 but i was thinking it would be good protection if i ever have front drivshaft failure.
Well i put the front carpet back in fits great over the new floor.. Front seats, center console , and back seat back in. still need my Dana 300 cables from North West Fab, and rear wheel tubs.
well not much of an update but i cut front driveshaft 2 inches. turned down the one end a slid it back into the tube and re welded it. run this till i get tired of putting U joints in it or i get the larger yokes for the dana 300 and dana 60. still have to make rear shaft it will be out of a chevy 2500. You can see the 2 inches i cut out and the turned down part in this pic
Awesome lookin xj!! what size tires are you running? Also do you have any front or back pics to show how far the tires stick out? Also I will be sticking around to see how this turns out! Looks like you do some great fab work
