Saw a post in the random thoughts thread. What's some good stuff you had found on the road or wherever. I have found lots of tools mostly. My best find being a new dead blow hammer.
snowblower
downrigger ball
loose change
bag of disc golf discs (cousin found them and gave them to me)
loose impact sockets and extension
orange construction barrel.
I found an empty glock case in Alto once. I was disappointed it was empty.
Logging chains
Tow chain
Sockets
Bungee cords
Orange flags( for road crews)
Wallet I found it but was riding my bike kicking it. Friend picked it up and it had ID and money.
Unopened condoms
X-rated books.
I'm sure there's more.
I run and when I see money on the road or sidewalk I ALWAYS pick it up - doesn't matter if it's a twenty or a penny. All of my found money goes into a special jar to be spent at the end of the year on new running shoes. This year has been exceptionally lucrative and I am probably up to about $90 so far (a $20 and a few $5s really help the total).
I find a lot of bungee cords on the road but never bother picking them up. People forgetting that there are bungee cords in the beds of their trucks and losing them must be what drives 80% of the bungee cord purchases in this country.
I foundinged a full set of dewalt 18v tools, circular saw, sawsall, drill, charger batteries and a bag full of blades. I put an ad on craigslist lost and found offering it up if they could tell me what was in the box besides the tools, but never got a response.
I foundinged a Craftsman shop vac new in the box, looked to have been used once to clean up some carpet scraps from a carpet job. I watched it fall out of the truck from right behind him and he pulled over. as soon as I passed him he pulled out an left so I pulled over and turned around to grab it!
found a full package of three big boxes of red scotchbrite pads on 696, all wrapped together probably 15 years ago. I still have half a box left!
I've found tools and such but those were my best founds.

Porn, a 12ga #7 shot 2 3/4 round, screwdriver, rachet straps, a scuba diving weight belt (found on the way to the lake where I found a chick in scuba gear looking for something frantically in the back of her truck.. Gave it back to her as it was clearly hers). A few rolls of home insulation....
I found a Sog twitchII laying in an intersection a few years ago.
Creepy found a 24' fiberglass extension ladder.
My son found a bag of crack one time and a digital scale another.

I knew a guy who founded his "herbal distribution" business while living on the street. I think he actually lived in a baseball dugout, but close enough.
I founded just the occasional loose change and some cheap tools. Once upon a time I founded a STIHL chain saw and case by grandpas house. Only thing about it was that it looked strangely similar to my dads saw that he took with him about 5 mins before hand. oke:
I flounderded a nice pair of curved needle-nose pliers, some ratchet straps, and a cordless impact.
