I do alot of fishing but im pretty new to the world of ice fishing....this is the first year I have been on the ice since I was a kid I usually fish open water and rivers....Curious to see how others are doing and what they are doing well with...what depth etc.

Thanks

pan fish are slow in Crawford County also, my buddies is catching them 10" to 14" in Mio though. I've been fishing a no kill lake here and catching a bunch of crappie, pike, and largemouth bass. I caught all the bass and some crappie in 5' of water in the weeds and the pike and crappie in around 8'-12' on the edge of drop offs.

I haven't had a chance to get out this season, but I mainly spear pike in the shallows south of the break wall of the AuGres River. For those who haven't tried it, it is very exciting when there is good action. There is nothing like having a 3 foot square hole and see one of those big ass prehistoric looking bastards wander into the kill zone. It is almost like looking into an aquarium.
