2# away :( work schedule has had no time for exercise which i think has screwed me (up at 4am, home about 9pm blah).

People who haven't seen me in the last 6 month's doesn't recognize me, but everyone who is trying to lose weight ask's me my secret.
Was no secret, and when i tell them what i've done I get, "it's too hard" or "I can never do that" etc. I'm trying to motivate others.

Bought a shirt and pants last weekend, This time last year I was in XXXL or XXXXL, just bought Large.
Never EVER thought i would be this small, it's awesometastic.

Without reading all the way back, what have you been doing? It's about time for me to start getting after my weight. I've been bouncing 245-250 for the past several years. This year I wanted to get after it but between several personal issues, I never did. Now it's time to at least start getting more serious.

I find that if I go up north for a weekend and cut wood, walk, etc, I drop 3-5 pounds by the middle of the following week. So it's obvious that I'm a slacker when it comes to exercise.

I just had my annual physical and a heart scan and other than being overweight, I am fine. So there is no excuse.

I got down to 210, now I'm up to 230-235 and look much better. Arms, chest, back, and shoulders have gotten bigger to the point I had to go up a dress shirt size. Pants and everything else is still fitting the same, and I'm lifting way more at the gym than before. Everyone also thinks I've lost more weight.

Don't always focus on just the number on the scale!

Do it!

I'm in the process of buying new jeans, was in 36s last winter, now i am wearing insulated under ware under 34s and I still need a belt. Have not weighed myself in ~2 months, when the doc said i was down 10-12lbs from 4 months prior. I am eating more regularly, between 4 and 6 smaller meals a day. One mile walk at lunch on nice weather days.

With all the physical labor i've been doing, my arms and core are noticeably stronger, and I probably have lost 4-6" off my midsection. All with not spending a single day in the gym.

Well I managed to go without my mid morning snack today. That's step one. :d:

My doc called me last night to give me the official report on my heart CT scan. I scored an 8 which means I have virtually zero plaque in/around my heart. :woot: I've been pretty concerned about this one since I have been overweight for years. He said this puts me in the bottom 10% for plaque risk.

I started a weigh loss challenge at work with my program manager. We are doing a one on one weight loss challenge through Dec 20th and I am currently down 13 lbs after 3 weeks and thats all diet and no exercise. I should be under 300lbs here in the next week or so. My first goal is to get back to how much I weighed before I fell off the band wagon which was 266lbs. After that I am going to re asses and see where I want to be at.

I somehow lost another 5lbs. I call it my stress and starvation diet. I have been working out at least three days a week.
Doc took me off most of the Metformin last week, (down to 500) I'm handling the diabete's with diet and excersize. Next checkup it should be competely removed, and he's even taliking about knocking my Blood pressure medicine in half.

Thank You, and Kickstand for the encouragement over the last year.

Went to Secretary of State Today to renew my license.

It's not due to expire for another 1.5 years, but after getting harrassed by TSA the last 3 times i've flown (doesn't look the same, weight way off) I figured it was worth the 15 minutes and $30

Lady taking the picture had to do a triple take and confirm it was me before she would proceed :)

Oh, and Hit my goal of 220#, set a new one for 200. Don't know if i'll hit it or not, still have what i think is a decent layer of blubber around my midsection and thighs. Well see where it goes.

Good luck to everyone else, keep on persisting, if My gigantic fat ass can do it, anyone should be able to.

For the past year, I've been averaging 247/248 and as high as 252. When I posted 3 weeks ago that I was going to make an effort, I was 247. I hit 236 last Wednesday (20 days later) and even with Thanksgiving, dinner & a hockey game, & twice out with friends for dinner and a beer, I've managed to stay at 237 all weekend. I cannot say when I was below 240 but it's been years. I'm encouraged and back at it today. If I could hit 225/230 by Christmas I will be delighted.
