i just bought a 2000 tj axleshaft for my xj axle.

what all needs to be done to install it, i know a seal has to be installed, but what else needs to be done.

the yj axle has a c-clip and the tj axle doesn't.

Installing the seals is definitely the most challenging part of the swap. I have a locker in the front on mine, with TJ shafts, and have no issues. I also took advantage of the timing and placed the greasible plugs at the ends of the axle shafts to function as an additional seal, and to keep all the crud out of the end of the axle tubes.

I also second on mudwolfs comment. put outer seals to keep the mud out. after its done but the most difficult part is finding a place to come up with a seal. Measure the diameter of the housing tube and axle shaft, and call around to see if you can find a seal. Because its not machined like the driver side its a bitch, but possible just needs time and numbers. After that rip out the vacum disco and put a pull cable or something in there.
