ok so everybody else puts there stuff on here. So i guess i will too. here is the back story. I wanted a off road vehicle. wanted a k5, but couldnt find one. found this 88 ramcharger for 700 bucks. put a 4 inch lift kit on it, and some used 35 swampers. threw a detroit in the rear and welded the frt 44. it was ok. but i cant leave my stuff o.k.

Took the rc to bundy hill in late summer. It did alright but found some things that needed improvement. The steering sucked, needs gears, departure angle with the factory bumper and reese hitch sucks, not enough ground clearance, and rear tires are hitting inner wheel wells when flexing, and front has zero flex. Gonna start addressing these issues. Some i already have. Just trying to bring this thread up to date.

When i put the lift on i used some shackle flip brackets. I want to modify them this winter to use a regular shackle. Not the tapered kind. 52" are planned for the front if i can get to it this winter. Boatsiding and cage are the project right now. I still have more pics to put up. I am trying to get caught up to where thevtruck is now. I started putting this together 10 months ago.

I know. Definitely gonna narrow the frt this winter. I would like to narrow the rear and at least keep the bedsides. I just need to find the time, and figure out how to do it. I would make a full truggy, but i want to be able to put two people in the back. I have some ideas. Between family, and side work its hard to find time.

also took a day off and installed some crossover steeing. made a frame stiffening plate form 1/4 inch. drilled the 1 inch holes and welded 1"" .250 wall dom to hold the steering box bolts. 2 inch drop pitman arm, made a s type drag link out of .250 wall dom with 3/4 inch heims. its day and night over the old steering. tires hit the leaf springs now.

Ok, almost there to make a long story short. I put a dana 60 with 4.10's in the frt. Changed the rears to 4.10. Cut up the frt fenders to make the tires fit. Been on 1 trip with it and it seemed to work pretty good. I ditched the factory rear bumper, and reese. Built my own rear bumper( i will post pics later). So now to get current. I am in the process of doing boat sides. ( pics later).

finally got some time, and was able to get the pass side slider done. also got the grill off to get a feel for how much i will narrow the frt. i thing im gonna try to do 6 inches out of each side for now. i can always cut more out later.
