We are having a play bog this Saturday June 8th 1400 Nettleton Road. Gladwin Mi.
This is a benefit bog for all of us boggers who like private bogs.
Money will be used for lawyer fees, to change the zoning rules.
Attorney fees are expensive need all the help we can get.
BOGGERS UNITE this closing of private bogs is starting to happen all over Mid Michigan. Come show your support
Leave the DRAMA and UNDER AGE DRINKERS at home
This will be strongly enforced.
Attorney will be on site to collect all the funds raised.
The Gladwin County Record (news paper) will be there doing interviews.
We need this to keep being a FAMILY EVENT.

OK THIS is RON just Being( RON )dont relate other wise please.

This should say leave all the drinkers at home. The main reason to shut these down is due to people getting hurt do to the drunk fest this and other play bogs have become. It will be great if this event takes the alcohol out of the play . That will truly make it a FAMILY EVENT. Unlike all the events in the past at this location. Glad to here they are headed in the right direction. and keeping it going the right way and trying to promote others to do the same.

BY the way before the flaming of my post I have stopped by several of these events here in the past years, and have a first hand account of the wide speard drinking and driving . The almost endless deposit of empties on the grounds and minors stumbling around. I will support them if they are truly going clean on these events and hope others will too. Because if not ,YEA they will needs lawyers at some point.
Again just my PERSONAL opinion. Safty and legaly first.

I wasn't planning on commenting on this, but those that know me KNEW I would...sooner or later. I don't know when you were at this bog Ron...I've been going here for bogs for about 7 years. I don't know of anyone ever getting hurt here. Not saying it never happened, just saying I never heard about it. In the past some of the bogs were HUGE. The "Easter Bog" used to be more trucks than I cared to count. The last couple years, the bogs here have been much smaller. People at the entrance check ID's and minors are marked. There are people walking around and if a "marked " person has a beer (or whatever) they will be told to leave. Of course there are people who drink here. I've never been to a play bog where no one is drinking. People bring their small children here. They are welcome and SAFE. If my Grandchildren lived closer, I'd have no hesitations about bringing them. They might see someone drunk, they might hear a swear word. That might happen in the city park as well. I feel the bog on Ridge Road is a safe family event.
So Ron, you are entitled to your opinion, as I am to mine. No hard feelings. Just differences of opinions.
