Have you ever regretted selling something?

I just sold my YFZ 450 and now I'm regretting it. :(. Out of the blue today someone called me and said a friend of mine told them I had a race quad for sale. I said I might. They asked the price and ask if they could look at it after work, I agreed. They came after work and looked at it and said ok they will take it. So they loaded it up and paid me and left. Now I'm regretting selling it ,even though I didn't ride it last year at all . I am getting older and do not race mx anymore . But I will not be able to replace it . I had 17k in it and I cannot spend that much on bullshit anymore. I am just venting ,it's probably for the best. Anyone else sell something and regret it soon after?

Here is a pic of the quad ,it was really sweet!

I regret selling a few, but the regrest are usually based on what you know now, not then.

For me, the ones that I regret, are when I sold something because of a certain set of circumstances/reasons, and then those things change.

I regret selling my last TJ, and my M35A2 Vietnam deuce. The TJ didn't fit all 3 of the kids in it, and the Army Truck, I had nowhere to park it out of the weather, and I had some weird severe allergic reaction to parts of the interior (the steering wheel, at least).

Today, I have a pole barn, that could fit the Deuce in it no problem, and I have a CJ7 very similar to my TJ in lift/size/features. Shoulda kept them.

My 03 Duramax. It really was a pretty good truck, I just didn't realize it at the time. I was impulsive one day when it pissed me off and traded it in. By now it would be paid off for a few years and still have relatively reasonable mileage for a diesel.

Oh well, it is what it is.

I don't regret selling anything from a dollars and cents perspective, meaning i have never really undersold something or felt like I gave it away. I do miss selling some things that I just wasn't in the right position to own anymore, but I got what I needed to out of them.

I have more buyers remorse than I do regret on selling some things.

As I have gotten a little older and matured a bit I have tried to focus more on something that my father taught me when I was a kid.

Never make a purchase based on emotions, cars, trucks, houses, etc. If you do, you'll always over pay or under sell.....

I miss a couple trucks and motorcycles out of nostalgia. They are pretty much just the vehicles I bought when I was 16-18 on a teenagers budget. I thought they were all sweet and treated them like they rolled of the showroom floor. Realistically they are all probably clapped out pieces of shit now.

Look at it this way Mike, now you can go buy a trailer and have no reason to not go on wheeling trips . Your freinds are jerks and won't haul your truck around for you, oh wait :sonicjay:.

So you got rid of something you didn't use to get something you can use. Half the aftermarket parts were rejects from my quads anyways.
