I just ordered the 5" kit from Farmboy Diesel. http://www.farmboysdiesel.com Bye bye little kitty. :tonka: It should be here Monday or Tuesday depending on UPS. It should add a little rumble with the free flow muffler and no cat and hopefully it will lower my EGT's.

Gus seems like one hell of a guy on the Cumminsforum. Everybody raves about him. You can't beat a full 5" system for $355 delivered with a muffler. I can't wait. Since the 5.9 has been down for 4.5 years, I kinda miss having that exhaust that makes little old ladies glare at you. :tonka:

Yay for 5 ers.
Now you just need to amp up the amount of exhaust to fill the pipe . . .

Yeah, right. Then I need to shell out $5k for a built tranny that can hold the HP. I am very surprised with the FBD 5" kit. I was really scared it was going to be too loud after Ken got it installed for me. If you romp on it, it really barks, but at idle and rolling down the highway it is quieter than stock. Even pulling my 32' fifth wheel this weekend it wasn't annoying and had no drone. I wasn't pulling up any mountains or anything, but I think I am happy with it. The EGT's dropped 100* at idle and around 200* at WOT. I can keep it in O/D and goose it going up a hill pulling the 5er and not push the EGT's too far over 1200. I would like a like more pep out of the old girl, but for now it runs well and tows great.

That's cool . . .
I sometimes wish mine wasn't so cranked myself. I've already exploded the 5 speed once, and I really don't feel like replacing this damn clutch. I'd definitely like an auto, because mostly what I do is drag race-type stuff anyway . . .

But I'd have $10k in it in order to hold up. Maybe some day.

It's great you're happy with it though. (now go get a Smarty)
