and i'm pretty sure the dude didn't name the Pontiac Torrent, because that would have involved more than 2 letters out of the alphabet
Please explain this quote because it makes no sense at all. What dude are you talking about? Did you read the acticle? A guy picked a new name for a vehicle and as a prize, he chose a Torrent.....Bittorrent is a program. Search it on google and you will get 65 times as many matches as when you search for pontiac torrent. This would lead me to believe that a shit ton of people would associate this name with software that is widely used to download illegal software. Can you make an educated reply to this? I'm assuing that you will just respond with a general "your dumb" or "fuck off" because it was you who actually did not know wtf you were talking about.

2010 G8 ST that GM isn't building now. And the person who named it, would have won one. But that is not possible now so they had to choose something else already existing in the pontiac lineup to "win".
