I'm not sure if you'd consider it a dive bar, but teazers is great (the one on monroe, just a biker bar)
I've never been there on the weekend though. food is delicious.
when you mention drive through... the nighthawk or alto bar comes to mind. that would be on the way down i96 between 36th street exit and alden nash exit
All the "dives" have been cleaned up considerably but yeah, putt putts and the anchor are good ones. You could always hit the real dives on bridge st. Kale's corner and Konkles.
The Web on Richmond. here's an honest yelp review.

What a dump!!! I do dig me a diver and this place is def a dive. Full of leather clad bikers singing 70's and 80's rock tunes on a tiny stage. The bar itself is kinda cool, a square deal with one side blocked off due to a wall. The old lady serving behind it was hilarious... Smoking Newports, playing Keno, and grumbling about opening my cold can of Budweiser.
If you like doing dive bar crawl hit this place up and sit back and enjoy...
It's a come as you are type place.
Don't expect class here...
Stop at the bow tie on 10 mile and old alpine. Not Grand Rapids but its close and awesome. In gr I love the anchor. I used to hang out a lot there when a few of my friends were bartenders there. They had some hotties working in there.
thanks for all the replies. We are going to have fun that's for sure.
