Just wanting to know what everyone thinks about the goodyear mtr's. How do they do offroad? I figure they would be decent on road tires but am wondering about offroad. Reason i ask is that i am looking at a set of 37's but want to know how they will perform first.

Thanks,
Ben

I have 255/70's on my stock grand cherokee and they seem to be pretty great. I have never had any problems yet and have seemed to wear supprisingly well too driving 60 miles a day. Never been stuck due to loss of traction either :woot: My friend has 35's on his xj and he likes em too.

if your getting a good deal on them sure, but i was paying 220 a tire and that was the tireshops cost (my brother works for one) i just switched my back tires to procomp m/t's which were like 25 bucks cheaper. i have mtrs on front and procomps on back, both air down really similar, ride similar, noise similar, but the comps clean out better. even if you "avoid" the mud, your still going up slick hills and such and the tires just done clean out like a good mud terrain. a little bit of clay and you have to use a screwdriver, or spin em up to about 35mph to get them to clean.

I have Cooper STT's on my DD XJ and love them. My Dad chewed thru his first set of OEM MTR's on his 06 Rubicon after only 27,000 miles, street driven and rotated and balanced regularly. They cupped real bad, to the point where they made a terrible noise on the road. He didn't like them in the snow and ice either. Went with BFG MT's this time around.
