I didnt want to cut the quarters yet so I covered them with 3/16. The main tube is 2x5, the swingout is 2x3 and the uprights are 2x2, all 3/16.

Holy attention to detail, I really like. I'm impressed that you even followed the profile of the fender flare and the tail light so closely.

I bought the pivot pin from etrailers.com. Its 1 inch diameter in the pivot area and steps up to about 1 1/2 inch in the area thats welded in. The pivot hub was made from a piece of 2 1/2 dia stock. I lathe drilled it to one inch bore and then I opened the end up with a for the castle nut and the dust cap. The latch is from McMaster Carr. The part number is 5135a25 1000 lb capacity. I made the mistake of ordering the wrong latch the first time. This is the one that goes around the corner. I like it recessed in the tube. Its out of the way.

I used 1/4 inch plates at the original mounting spots with 2x4 coming out to the main tube. The main tube is tied into the hitch in three places and round head 1/4 bolts on the quarters. I know people have had cracking issues when using only the original mount areas. The small fillers around the tailights and below the flares are 1/8 inch stock. Easy to shape. This winter I will finish sanding and touching up. The sq tube at the latch area needs a cap welded on.
