Seriously, .40 cent increase in one day? $3.85 to $4.30 in Traverse City. Ridiculous and no even a news story of a refinery fire or other bs to cause the increase...
I have really cut back on my driving, and decided to hold on to the gas sipper instead of fix the motor in my jeep. I've even tried to keep the rpm's down in the scoobaru too.
email sent to u.s. senators stabenow and levin [Michigan]:
gasoline prices in michigan at 4.29/gal.
all stations set their prices at exactly the same level on the same day.
this means they re-valued the price of fuel already in their tanks.
President Carter created the dept of energy and tasked it to create energy independence.
what value has the DOE added to the u.s. economy?
where is this independence?
the only major change i have seen was president Obama dictating a higher CAFE from automakers as a part of the "bailout" arrangement. that did NOT come from the DOE!
ethanol, wind power, et al are not doing a thing for us except raising our out of pocket costs .
Was $3.11 at Sam's Club 10 days ago. $3.19 at all other stations. Jumped up to $3.29 at other stations 2 days ago. Haven't been back to Sam's to see how much it jumped there.
$3.18 today here at myrtle beach.
I'm trying to figure out why the gas producers want to say the summer mix is more expensive when its a dollar cheaper per gallon in the southern states.
Gas Pricing is really hard to figure out. When we moved to Alabama in 2008, gas was .15 more a gallon here than Michigan. Now it is the opposite. None of it makes any sense.
I kinda felt like a hood rat today. Low fuel light came on on my way to work. On the way home I only put a gallon in.
However it wasn't because I only had $10 and the decision was between gas and smokes, it was because I plan on dropping my gas tank tomorrow. :sonicjay:
It was $3.77 at the Speedway at Telegraph and Dixie yesterday. Diesel was $3.95.
