I have a chevy pickup with 38s on it that i use for wheeling only has IFS on the front motor is stock. My rear end which is a 14 bolt is worn out needs a rebuild..What would you do ? Buy another 14 bolt from a junk yard and call it a day? im looking for any suggestions that are out there? rebuild it..throw a locker in it?
maybe it's just me but why wouldn't you rebuild any axle you get out of a boneyard or from anyone for that matter unless it was just rebuilt? I would want the peace of mind knowing I had good bearings and seals throughout.
thanks everyone i ended up throwing a eaton true trac replacing the bearings and seals...took to the trails last weekend what a difference love it..
