I am going to be in Baldwin this weekend and was hoping to take my 82 year old father out for some wheeling. I know there are some trails around Baldwin, but I am not sure of a good starting point... We will be near Big Star Lake all weekend.
Any suggestions would be great... I have never been to Twisted Trails Off Road park, and was even thinking about heading up there and checking it out on Sunday.
After looking at some pics of Twisted Trails is there any wheeling there that is safe for a daily driver...:sonicjay: I am out to have some fun, but will still need to commute to work when finished.:junk::sonicjay:
I was on the road before you posted. Went to Baldwin area. There's some good stuff just nw of big star centered around Hill lake. To the south there's some west of bitely.
East of 37 are where the bulk of the state trails are, but they get pretty hammered and whooped out.
Sorry, no internet at the cabin in Brohman. I was out west of Bitely yesterday, would have been happy to show you some of the trails. As it is, I now have to go check out the Hills lake area. The stuff West of Bitely is perfect for a daily driver, all of the deep mud holes have a bypass around them, and everything I went in on had the four digit national forest road designation on them.
Had a great time too I must add... Look forward to getting all us Baldwin area runners together for a weekend of wheelin sometime this fall.
