i thought about getting those. Let us know how they work out for you. I dont know how well they'll handle stopping my rockwells in whoops at the dunes.
I was looking into using them on my Jeep but couldn't justify the almost 200 dollars for them at the time. Definitely let us know how they work out though. I need to do something with my Jeep as the factory rubber stops are not working out very well..
GM calls them rear jounce shocks and they come "standard" on special defence ordered GM 2500 series trucks. The same trucks that armys, border guards and other defence units buy. I bought that exact set for $200 but good luck trying to find them, they are extremly hard to come by.
the ends fall apart. craig and dale from extreme bought these and they both were junk after the first run at drummond.they did warranty them.they both sold them and bought real radflow bumps.
my timbrens are still in good shape and do there job..(3 years)no rips and they still take the hits.
i would recommend those way before these fake bumps.1/4 the price also.
no rubber bushings are ever going to be close to a real air bump. for us cheap guys buy a timbren or the stock chevy bumps for some decent cushion.if your spending 200 why not spend 2 more and get the good stuff?

Cool thanks. We're putting timbrens on our trec jeep since we can't use air bumps in our class. Hearing that you haven't destroyed yours yet in 3 years makes me think they should be fine for the racer.
Unless those jounce shocks have an 8 digit numerical part number, GM doesn't make them. They look like the edelbrock ones or whatever the cheaper version was being talked about on pirate a year or two ago.
How come nobody has caught onto the 99+ half ton pickup rear bump stops? They really are the best for the money. ~$15/ea.
yep those are the ones i ment. the gm ones are the best bang for the buck.the good thing about the double cardin timbrens is it's real soft in the bottom, then gets real stiff on top. can't remember exact specs on weight rating.something like 2400 bottom to 8400 top.
They used to make those trucks off Doris Rd just north of featherstone in auburn hills.
