I spent the last 6 weeks shopping used certified cars at every dealer from Troy to Detroit.

Walked in wanting to pay cash. Ya know how much the dealers are willing to knock of used cars right now ? The best I could get out of one was 200.00 off. Yeah I said 200 bucks. If one more of them scumbags gave me the used cars are out selling new cars 3 to 1 speach I was gonna puke. By the way I told em all to pound sand.

kbb dosent buy cars and with the ever changing economy it is not accurate on alot of vechicles. if they are asking 29k for the car and you come in and offer them 15k your most likely going to be laughed at. i buy and sell cars and powersports products for a living and as a hobby. if they are asking 29k they paid more than 15k for the car, and i could'nt imagine any newer ss camaro being worth 17k in this economy or anywhere near 29k, you can find low mileage c5 corvettes for 17k now. i'd keep looking :thumb: just my .02

i had to chime in!!!! dealers usually get offered half of what a car is worth by mooches all day long.... people arent even leasing at the moment because they cant get a 35k car for under 200 a month... hello... thats partially why the market is so fuc-ed up!!!!! u really think the bank or dealers are making money right now!!!! worst i have seen it i over 15 years...

Does this thing have super low miles, pretty much stored since new? I think alot of these cars were bought for an investment more than anything. Wasn't 2002 that last year for the Camaro?

If thats the case you probably won't get the dealer to move much off his price, if it's a 50-100K mile car I am sure you should be able to buy it for $15,000-$20,000.

Quick scan of ebay found at least a dozen '02 Z/28's, SS's and such. Nice one in Texas with 16 miles. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars....c0.m245&_trkparms=72:317|65:12|39:1|240:1318

I had a LT-1 version for a little while, nice toy but wasn't anything I would want to drive everyday. Might want to check the cost of insurance before you buy something though.
