TREC Race #1 of 5 is this weekend at the Badlands Ofrroad Park in Attica, Indiana.

If you've never heard of TREC or never been to the Badlands, it's a good excuse to come down and check it out. The park is open regular hours so you can wheel all day and then after the park closes the course is cleared and the race is started. Usually 30 minutes to an hour after park closing.

TREC races are 2 hours long and wind throughout the Badlands. If you are down there and see orange arrows pointing in different directions around the park, then you can follow them and see what the course is like. We run through the woods, up and down the bigger hills, through the dunes and through parts of the trail system.

If you are interested in racing, they are adopting the Ultra 4 rules to try and make it where you can race in more series and more people can come race with us. Races are $125 to enter. There are basically 3 classes A/Unlimited, B/Modified, and C/Stock. There are also classes for racing side by sides and they run at the same time through the same course as us. I believe their entry fee is lower and the races are only an hour instead of 2 hours; but check with the Badlands office for details on that.

So who's going down there this weekend?

B-Class 618 XJ driven by Hosejockey and his brother
B-Class #? XJ driven by wakebabe and Bones
B-Class 715 driven by JohnnyJ and JeepM715
A-Class 4051 driven by jhnyquest and Grassman
SXS #? driven by Trail Junkie

I know AlumCJ is leaving his 4418 A-class at home but is coming down for the weekend.

So what about liv2mx and chevotass?

i will be in for next year...sounds like fun.
i will go to all of them..building my rig for more high speed stuff.there is talk of a series in mi.so i need to show them these dates so they are not the same time.

something like $250 for series and $250 per event. i dont remember the exact # because once i saw it i lost all interest. i would love to do something like that but maybe $100 per event.
yeah i know the guys had a blast doing it this year. im definetly in for it this year. plus this post went up yesterday which might be really cool.

we will be there. We don't have a team name, rig number or paint scheme yet, but we'll be there.

We can't use our existing team name?
Number.... #989 or #829 works for me if its not taken
Paint Scheme....pink, charcoal, annnnd glitter.

I'm not that interested in camo - more interested in a design inspired by Charlene's "I'm not just a girl" decals...

Looking forward to the race.

By the way Mr. and Mrs. Sideshow will be there racing - doesn't sound like anyone else from the Rosco group will be there though :(

agreed.

I might just pack the rattle cans in the toter and finish it there lol

it also doesn't have a driver seat, rims and tires, communications, a few other fairly important things...

i want comms from driver to pass. I have never had functional comms to the pits.
