[Rant]
Why do companies feel like they can steal pictures and/or descriptions from other Offroad stores and use as their own? A random person sent us a link to the newest round of the ol' copy cat.

Our 1 Ton steering blurb:
"Looking to upgrade your stock Jeep steering? Is your lifted Jeep having alignment problems? With our cross-over steering upgrade, you eliminate the hard to adjust "Y" stock steering, it allows for a longer drag link to help with your steering angles, and most importantly gives you heavy duty steering that will take a beating and hold up to the off-road abuse."

First Paragraph here:

Their 1 ton steering blurb (I mean rugged ridge steering kit):
"Looking to upgrade your stock Jeep steering? Is your lifted Jeep having alignment problems? With our Jeep 1 ton steering upgrade, you eliminate the hard to adjust "Y" stock steering, it allows for a longer drag link to help with your steering angles, and most importantly gives you heavy duty steering that will take a beating and hold up to the off-road abuse"

Email sent to Sales@motionoffroad.com

To Whom it may concern,

My name is Brian Meyers I am the owner of JcrOffroad. This morning I was directed to your website from a random person. They directed me to your steering kit and the description you are using for your steering kit. Whats the deal man? Why would you take something from another shop and use as your own to sell your product? I would say that we are flattered, but to be honest this ol' copy cat game is getting old.

Link to our steering kit and description:

I would like the 1 ton steering description has follows removed from your site with in the next 2 business days:
"Looking to upgrade your stock Jeep steering? Is your lifted Jeep having alignment problems? With our Jeep 1 ton steering upgrade, you eliminate the hard to adjust "Y" stock steering, it allows for a longer drag link to help with your steering angles, and most importantly gives you heavy duty steering that will take a beating and hold up to the off-road abuse"

Link to your site:

If you are using any more of our descriptions or if you have stolen descriptions from other shops, this is now your chance to make it right and delete them from your online store. If any of our information remains on your site after Oct. 6th at 6pm EST, I will be contacting our Attorney and the next correspondence you hear from us will be Legal.

Take Care and have a Wonderful weekend!
Brian Meyers

I am not really pissed off, I am just tired of having to police this crap. I am just thankful that random ppl seem to find this stuff for us and alert us to it. Bad business ethics are the world around, but in our tight internet community of parts pedelers and shops, it certainly is not a good idea to try to steal anything from one another.

You defenatly could not sue someone for something like this, but you sure can make a Sh!t-storm about it and send them a scary letter from a Attoney! haha

Tells skooterbuilt that spro's girlfriend now works at motion off road and give skooterbuilt a free jcr t-shirt.

When motion offroad sees skooterbuilt in the bushes outside their shop with a digital camera and a jcr offroad shirt, they will change the wording out of fear.
with todays modern technology, it is far easier to gain access to an individuals house/car/garage/storage unit and install a series of micro cameras then hide outside. Then you can hook them up to a wireless antenna which then transmits to a receiver 100's of feet away. Then all you have to do is upload the video/images and your good to go:thumb: Smile bitch's your on candid camera.

Motion offroad is a scummy company that steals product pictures and descriptions from all over. They have alot of products that they claim as their own when the pictures and descriptions are taken directly from other companies. The person who owns its user name on Jeepforum and or whatever is LEAD_NOT_FOLLOW, if I remember correctly. He's just a drop-ship company and doesn't manufacture anything, nor does he have a physical store.

Here's more on it: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/showthread.php?p=2147520#post2147520

Have fun dealing with this guy, he's a piece of work.

Motion Offroad also did the same thing before they were moion offroad. Thats actually the guy that I bought m MJ rear leafs off of. About a year ago he was buying stuff from companies for good prices, repainting it, then selling it as his own for a lot more money. Mostly XJ bumpers and rock rails. He was banned from many forums for this at first, but signed back up under a different name and started doing it again.

His name is Adam and his board name is lead_not_follow on most forums and he is located in north east indiana. i'll look around to see if I have the shipper from my springs lying around in the garage, if I do I'll pm you his address. :thumb:
