Greg just sent me a text saying they endo'd it during qualifying and busted the car up pretty bad. He said him and Randy were OK but their weekend is over.
Was pretty scary to watch in person .....intensified by the fact it was the first race randys wife went to and she was standing right next to me :sonicjay:
Broke one wheel, cracked one and bent another. Pushed the front axle an inch to the pass side and his hydro steering is rough. Hit a spot a little faster than they wanted to and missed the line he wanted by about a foot he said.
we got muff punted off a 10 foot drop off and ended up coming to rest wedged nose in between some rocks. It took me atleast ten minutes or so to get the car jacked up high enough from the rocks where i could access the winch. The fairlead was broken at that point and i broke the winch rope 3 times. so we had a great first lap
I have a lot of pictures and video. TREC from the bowl (under my EZ-UP while it rained) and U4 from the quarry. I'll try to get them off my camera and online later today.
I didn't want to ask "what took you so long" considering where you qualified and what order you showed up at the first rocks.
After I gave you guys the little hint about what line was the easy one, somebody (one of the inbred spectators) said something to me about cheating. :sonicjay:
Pinion Guard with the support tied into the truss?
That had to of been a prior hit that weakened the housing.
Yikes
