This is our little old jeep that we are racing in the trec series and also planning on racing at twisted trails to try it out

updates before the first race include
- new motor mounts
- new track bar
-HID light kits (4 on roof light bar and 2 on the bumper
- spare tire carrier
- new dash board with intercom and race radio
- install parker pumpers
- new 31*10.50 goodyear tires mtr kevlars (thanks to deweys auto and goodyear)
- new XRF ball joints from deweys auto
- 4:88 gears and install kits
- 1 ton steering
- vented rotors
- and whole bunch of maintenance im forgetting

Its just a stripped down xj with around 3 inches of lift running 2.5x10 fox shocks all the way around, stock axles(per rules) with a full cage and engine cage.

IM going to try and keep a log of updates here that we do to the jeep through out the season.

why not cut all the pillars, lift the roof, weld everything, drop the roof back on?

The cage is done, and we stripped the jeep down to ready it for paint.

Also moved the rear shocks out so they now mount on the leaf spring pad, we are hoping it stables the jeep a bit in the corners/ reducing sway.

oh and my ass gasket needed welding apparently, so alumcj welded it up

Jeep is together minus the transmission, tranny tom was missing a seal and a c clip to get it put together so that should be done this week.

camron my codriver has been asking for a foot plate to steady himself when we take hard hits. We came up with the idea for this plate and alumcj cut out the plate on his cnc plasma and dimple died all the holes facing up for traction for us.

few pics.

P.S. there is plenty of room for sponsor logos on the new paint if any one is interested. Pm me for details on our 2012 race schedule.

1 step forward two steps back, while changing out the front shocks for our spare set of fresh rebuilds, i noticed the driver side motor mount looked different. Come to find out 6 of the 7 bolts had sheared off in the block and the one that was still in there was bent and backed half way out.

so far i got 5 bolts out and cleaned up the holes but we may be pulling the motor tonight to drill and re-tap the other 2 holes.

If any one out there is going to be racing i highly recommend jeep speed style 4.0 liter mounts as this has a been a problem plaguing us from the beginning, and make sure its part of your maintenance to check the bolts on a regular basis. The stock 4.0 only have 3 bolts per side.
