I only paid about $130 for a 2" body lift for mine (97 Sonoma). It was from Performance Accessories.
I think the only real options under $600 would be body lift or tweaking your torsion bars and throwing some shackles on the rear. Careful if you tighten the torsion bars though since it can cause added wear on the rest of your front end, mostly balljoints.
I have a new pair of S-series lift keys. Will give anywhere from 1-4" lift depending on your bars and where things are set. $50
