Well I started project yota wheeler...got a great deal on it, 3.0 v6, 5 speed, 4x4. started tearing it down, pulled the bed, and got ready to cut the frame down and 3 link the rear. Searching hard for a 8" solid axle to swap in, I'll keep posting as project creeps along. Just bought my first clarke tubing bender today from summit for 85 bucks... Exoskeleton is in the workings...at some point.

Alright Sooo....I am partially ditching the radius arm setup, it binds far too soon for my liking, I knew there was going to be bind but it came before I really am satisfied with, so I pulled the drivers upper arm, checked my flex, and it didn't bind at any point, so it's now 3 linked front/rear....

Also, I got my rear 2" wheel spacers today and that helped my stance quite a bit

This is where ride height is until I get my rusty's- 3" HD xj lift springs...not happy with the stock xj springs, but it flex's and looks good...just working on getting it all straight and to where I'm happy with it.

It might be, do you know anyone with a tubing bender? I need a bunch of 1.75x.120wall hrew bent up otherwise ill have to buy a JD2 bender...which I might anyway....just got my high steer and every single bearing and everything to finish it and drive it...with a rod knock hahaha...I'll post some pics (cause you all know how much of a pic whore I am)...

Better take the G/F pics down before this thread turns into one of those....oh well, I might as well start it...

More G/F pics!

(By the way, his truck is tall, but not that tall, she's only 4-foot sumpthin....)

I'm actually getting ready to order a vertical air over hydro bender, I'll be ordering it with 1.5" dies but if you want to buy the 1.75" dies you can use it, probably order it before the end of the month (still waiting for the new truck to show up).

Nothing wrong with the JD2, that's what I had before, but you need a large clear area to do any bending, I had to bolt mine to my car trailer out in the driveway.

I believe Scott Stevens has a tubing bender if you just need a few small bends, or Brett's can do it in the exhaust bender, or Tom Tessemer has an exhuast bender.

Scott doesn't have tubing dies of 1.75, and I have a slab of concrete outside I'll build a weatherproof box for the bender out there, cause dies are like 300 bucks which is nuts....but they can rape when there's no other option...I just don't want the kinks...and it's being exo'd so lottss of bends...and yeah she's not that tall but its a poser pic making an illusion. Haha. I'm so close...I'm a panhard bar and springs and gussets away from pulling her out...

Huh...probender.com has 240deg 1.75" dies for $310 for the ProTools 105 and the bender I'm buying.....I was going to offer you the chance to order your die at the same time I order the bender to save shipping...oh well...if I need to bend some 1.75" I know where to go, if you need to bend some 1.5" you know where to go.

Alright so 6-11-12, the yota has came out of the cave, and is now waiting for the new springs(stock xj springs aren't long enough by any means)...shocks are on there way, along with the bender, needs a front driveshaft made and some finish welding on some parts but all in all it has been a big leap. Here's a few quick pics, the 38's fit nicely, could clear more but not on this project, maybe the next one....

Pleasant surprise from rusty's offroad today...got the 3" lift springs for an xj and it leveled the truck out nicely, everything fits much better...short recap-I am now 3-linked rear, and radius/3link front, xj 6.5" lift springs from RC in rear, 3" xj lift springs front, all ruff stuff specialties cromo/cryo/heat treat 7/8" hiems, 1.75x.250 Dom arms, its nO where near done but I'm getting there. Heres some pics of it leveled out.

wuss.....I smoked the small pit at the mud bog with a rod bouncing around in the pan...if you blow it up you'll be more likely to find another 3.0 and get it going again.

There's a cheap 3.0 in the parts for sale section right now with a "noisy top end"...the seller is a real solid guy....maybe between the two motors you can make one good one and some scrap money for some tube.

I would have to mount a fuel cell, make a spot to mount the pump internally, lengthen fuel lines, make a whole new driveshaft, work a few bugs out and then try goin hard in the mud...I'll be sitting this one out, just not enough time-money ratio to pull it off.
