I've got an 80' VW Vanagon that needs an engine. 2.0 air cooled. Or possibly someone that would be interested in rebuilding the current one. Does run, has an odd knock. Assuming crank/rod bearings.
Good luck finding one. Been looking for a running one for 10 years. Try call the Parts Place in Auburn Hills. Here is there web site. http://www.partsplaceinc.com
They may have one but if they dont they should be able to find you one.
Another Option for you is to find a 1600 and have it built up. I dont know why but the 2.0s are costly to have rebuilt. I looked at an 1800 that was turned into a 2160 (os some shit like that) and it was going to cost the same.
Give R&N Buggy in kalamazoo a call 269-329-0899. I know ron has a few of them. He can also get all the rebuild parts for your current engine if you want to go that route. Tell him John sent you:thumb:
