I'm exhausted. I have been three days now working getting shelves cleaned and tables built. you could land a Cessna on the amount of tables I built in the last couple days.
on a side note I will never find anything in my barn ever again.
I have been tossing shit in a pile and she has been tagging it. I have a set of Dodge 2500/3500 take offs. Chrome clad steel wheels 17 x8" for $200
lots of engines for mowers and such. plus tons of junk. for some reason I have about 5-6 stereos in the sale??? dunno where they all came from. mostly portables.
got some fish tank supplies, and a couple small tanks. loads of bird houses & feeders.
Garage sales are a waste of time...you normally get a bunch of dirty ass people digging through your stuff and asking if you will take 25 cents instead of $1 for your $100 pair of boots. Or want to know if you will take $3 for your tool box that you have marked for $20. My girlfriends mom has one every summer, and I won't go near the place anymore.
If you don't already, start putting your stuff on ebay. I couldn't believe what people were willing to pay for crap that I had sitting in my garage. I just sold the stock side nets for my RZR on ebay for $50, and the stock seat belts for $60...I was going to throw both away, but the 'ol lady talked me into throwing some stuff online.
That's been my sentiment for years. its like an open door to case your place. I live way out in the country more or less. its not like we don't have people in need. its just the rotten apples that spoil it.
as for my wife and Ebay?? she hates the site. says the garage sale has fewer scum bags.
well I have been out this morning again dragging more crap out. at the current timing its looking like Thursday & Friday of the coming week(s) or at least till we whittle it down a bunch.
since the sale is going so well, can I drop off a bunch of stuff for you to sell? I wont be back for the money, but I also wont be back to pick up whatever does not sell
chances are you will end up with more stuff after the sale then you had before
well add them up.
1 24"x 11' bench. 4 /4'x 16' benches. one 30"x 8' bench one 30"x 6' bench, plus the shelves on the east side 24" x 48' 2 levels high. plus 3 12" x 40' shelves that we didn't even fill. and we had stuff outside. its was such a huge mess before the sale. I don't have a clue where anything is. I will be weeks sorting it all back out and putting stuff in order. my wife did vacuum most of the dirt & critters out so its nice and clean now.
Well..... the yard sale was a success. I still have people coming over to buy stuff two days after the sale ended. So far, I have made a little bit over $900. Not bad for a yard sale.
