Of all of them, I'm sorry to see Draper go. I enjoyed going to the games and watching him skate. He was/is sooooo fast and smooth and he broke up more plays than I think most people give him credit for. Even at retirement age, he's still one of the very best faceoff men in the league. Always a good sport with a positive attitude and a class act during interviews. He never made excuses, just said we need to play harder. His years with Maltby and McArty were awesome.

I own 2 jerseys. One Yzerman and one Draper. Thanks for all the good years Kris.:thumb:

After seeing first hand the bullshit that they have to put up with when it comes to autographs and what not I can't say as that I blame them for not doing it.

A few years back we went to Columbus for a game and stayed at the same hotel. When the players came in off the bus there was a group of guys with 2 kids and duffle bags full of shit. They kept sending the kids up to the guys one after another until all of their stuff was signed. I'm sure they were big fans...

Anywhere those guys go, or anyone famous for that matter, a giant line forms full of fans and "fans" wanting pictures and autographs. They are paid to play a game and paid to sign autographs at autograph sessions. Every single thing they do beyond that is on their time. I'm sorry, but a reasonable person realizes that they can only put up with so much.

Maybe someday when you are a world famous gunslinger you can pick and choose who's hopes and dreams you break by not giving an autograph to. :sonicjay:

Holy fuck that response got long...lol
