I know this sounds crazy, but I now prefer turkey bacon.

If you've never had it, you must try it. It grills flat, tastes wonderful, and it actually not that bad for you to eat.

From livestrong:

"Uncured bacon and cured bacon generally have approximately the same nutrition, including calories and fat content. Some uncured bacon may add more salt to replace the lost sodium nitrites; however, this varies based on brand."

 because normal bacon is three times as bad for you as turkey bacon.

I was really excited about uncured bacon too! :(

I switch to turkey meats when I start to lean up for a show. They have came a long ways, between the bacon and breakfast sausages, ground turkey, and even Italian turkey sausages. The stuff can be extremely tasty, certainly not the same as beef and pork, but considering the nutritional differences it's well worth it.
