Hey, I brought home a nice long driveshaft for you from Koz's. Might be a little too long, actually. I'm sure you can cut it down.

see the problem is that I dont have the ability to do that. I could just get my old shaft repaired but that apparently is going to cost the same as buying a new one. I need cheap, like warrenty deductable cheap, ya know. What is the one you have for?

It came out of a 2wd Chevy truck and its free. Driveshaft shortening isn't expensive. They just hack it and re-weld the yoke back on.

no mines an `04 and it only has the 3/36,000 any ways.

when I bought my `02 KJ the dealer said they would hold my papers to give me the 7yr/100,000 mile deal but they processed it any ways and I lost out on the warrenty so I only got the 3/36,000 on it.

You can go back and purchace the warrenty any time before 100000 miles and some amount of time. It doesnt have to be purchaced at the time of sale I dont believe.

Maybe I'll just by another warrenty and have it deducted from my check every week to pay for it end then claim some other things that have been going wrong. I need to do something quick though Im running out of time before silver lake.

Do you seriously not want to take a look at this driveshaft?

I will but arent the ujoints going to have to be different. From what I have gotten for rough estimates to tack on new ends on the shaft and replace missing parts is going to cost about the smae as buying new parts. I have also entertained the idea of just buying another service contract. I really do appreciate you grabbing that for me though. I just dont know when I could come by and look at it. If I recall correctly I think my shaft is around 62" long.

I don't know why they would HAVE to be different u-joints. Worst case you have to buy adapter u-joints that are two different sizes.

I can't measure it right now - I dropped it in the storage unit over at Wardlo and Milford.
