CO2 air tanks

I really didn't know where to post this, so I guess this area works as its not really tech.

I bought a 15# Ulitimate Air tank a couple of months ago, when Brian did the MJ group buy. I just recently upgraded to the adjustable reg so I could run air tools on the trail...or at the mall Thanks Brian @ UA for the hookup on the new reg.

Anyway, went to get it filled today.....no one in my area can fill a tank that big. I tried a couple of Paint Gun stores and they cant, might be able to next year. I tried a few welding supply stores and no luck. Mich Airgas which is all over the Tri Cities is going to fill it for me, but they hafta ship it out to their Lansing branch. Going to take a week to get it back. At least I can expect that in the future, if I need it filled before a ride....or shopping spree

Have any of you guys down state had to have yours shipped out? Or is there places around Detroit to fill them, obviously there is one in Lansing.

Funniest thing is the guy at Mich Airgas asked me if I'm going to use that tank for paintball

CLIFFNOTES:can't get a co2 tank filled around here, need to ship it out, sucks to be me.

Heat it up really hot, in the oven with the valve open.

Run outside, and the cold air will suck into it..

Then shut the valve

idiot.

Finally got my tank back today. Went over to Ironman's(Pat) to mess with it....ran a couple of air tools, etc. Now I just need to wheel so maybe I can use it to air up my tires

I get mine filled at Soo Welding...a bit high in price compared to others down state at 22-28 bucks depending on...well...I dunno what Just seems every time I get it filled it is a different charge. Mine is also the UA system with the regulator. Works great.
