Ok, now we're getting somewhere. FYI: Scout was never driver's drop. Waggy was driver's drop 1980-1990. Why not narrow a J10 or Ford D44?

all you need is ford outers. that gives you the 5x5.5 on the waggy axle. at least that is what i am doing on mine. if i ever get the money to finish this project.

as far as i know you won't find a drivers drop d44 with flat top knuckles and 5x5.5 pattern with a width of 60 inches without swapping something around from another axle.

Linzy, why not go with 6 lug?

I have an extra set of 15" 6 lug rims you can have... If that is a big deal to you, swap outers..

We can go pick up that waggy for 300 bucks in silverlake if you want.. That had the 44's in it

i have a waggy in madison heights the only thing it does not have is an engine. i would probably be willing to get rid of it for close to 300 bucks and may even deliver it if it's not too far.

I just saw an early bronco one for $150 somewhere (either here or MJ). It is driver drop, 5x5.5 and fairly narrow width. They had coil springs so you'd have to weld on spring perches. It was a 1976 so it had disc brakes. The only uncertainty is if it has flat-topped knuckles.

Run a search on both boards, I'm sure it will turn up.

Edit:

OK, I'm bored. I ran the search for you.

If it turns out you buy this but swap on full-width flat-top knuckles, LMK. I'd be interested in the knuckles for our drum-braked EB D44.

Jeff
