D30 Lockrite/Detroit EZ locker install ?

When installing a Lock rite, Aussie, Detroit ez, etc in a ZJ D30, do you need to remove the ring gear from the carrier to get the cross shaft out? Just curious, before we tear into this on Monday. I know obviously I'll find out when the carrier comes out, but just wanted a brief heads up first. I know on some axles with certain gears, you need to remove the ring gear.

Oh I have 4.56's in my D30

Mike, yes you will have to remove the ring gear. Remember to clean the bolts & bolt holes out with brake clean. And use red lock-tite on them 50 ft lbs.

Thanks Bill, I believe my bearing kit comes with new ring gear bolts...might just put new ones in, cause I have them.
