It's the heater core leaking if it's coolant on the floor.....the lines attach to it on the other side of the firewall, so they can't leak in the cab, only externally

Yep, get ready to take the dash apart. The heater cores cracked/rotted.

If its anything like putting one in a 87-93 mustang... Its a mission.

You can put it off seeings how its not winter and just run the heater hoses together if its his daily driver.

haha well we started up the engine again after i got the cover off of the core, and it started leaking right out of the middle, the core was shot for sure. then for shits dbaker22(truck owner) reved it up and it shot out across the truck onto the seat, the ford looked like it was pissin overall it was an easy fix..DIDNT HAVE TO REMOVE THE WHOLE DASHBOARD for everyone who thinks you do ...just the glove compartment

Most older ford truck are not hard to change the heater cores. never changed one on anything newer than 2000

now I helped my day years ago change one on a Ford Fairmont staion wagon holy shit.
remove dash, drop steering colum (sp), long process to get it out.
