NP231 W/auto vs. NP231 w/standard

Is there a difference between an NP231 Xfer case that's mated to an automatic transmission, and an NP231 that's mated to a standard transmission?

yes, auto IIRC is 21 spline
ax-15 from behind a 4.0 is 23 spline
ax-5 from behind 4 banger is 21 spline

Depends on the trans, and sometimes the year.

Thanks for the heads up. I had/have tunnel vision when it came to spline counts. I always thought about the AX5 and AX15 standards, and never even considered the spline count of an automatic.
