Torque Converter Clutch

Does the auto trans in my truck (listed below) equipped with a TCC?

Ok, I figured it did because I can feel it slip while on the freeway. With cruise control on at freeway speeds, the truck will occassionally jerk lightly, and the tach will jump 100 RPMs when this happens. My best guess is the TCC.

put your foot on the brake pedal eneough to activate the brake light switch (doesn't take much - shouldn't be eneough to make the brakes slow you down, and if it is, just give it gas to maintain speed). If the slipping stops, you can be pretty sure it's the TCC

It only slips for a second if that, and hooks right back up. Sometimes I can feel it, other times I just see the tach jump 100 RPMs. But that tach will always jump when I feel it jerk.

I'm not really firmiliar with dodge tranny's, but I'd pull a schematic to see if the TCC engagement has it's own connector, and pull it....drive it like that - if it's still there, your SOL. If not, your still SOL because the convertor is crappin out

Yea, I need to get a Hayne's manual. I love warranties in times like these though. I hate wrenching on my DD.
