'83 Wagoneer (FSJ) $500 - Now on eBay (runs/drives nice)
I just picked up an '83 Grand Wagoneer Limited from a guy in Lansing. I was told that it had Dana 44s front & rear. I planned on using these axles on my Scrambler project, then parting out the rest of the vehicle. After I caught a 1-way ride to Lansing (1 hr. 45 minutes from my house), I found that it actually has the HD AMC 20 rear. I was in a pinch ride-wise, and still ended up buying the truck for $500. I drove it home with no problems whatsoever.
I'm going to offer it here for the same $500 I paid for it (which means I'll eat the $35 in gas I paid to get there & back) before I list it on eBay for $599 w/No Reserve. In my opinion, it's worth more complete than it would be to part out. I can forward pics via e-mail.
The scoop:
* 360/727 auto/NP-229 t-case
* Dana 44 front (vac disconnect) and HD AMC 20 rear axles.
* PS/PB
* Tilt column
* Trailer hitch
* 4WD works
* 109K miles
* Runs well, drives straight, doesn't pull at all, and the brakes work well
* Tires are in nice condition
* Body is fair
* All glass is good
* Leather seats in fair condition
* Headliner rough, and rest of interior is usable (but not particularly pretty)
* Electric seats work
* A/C unit blows air, but I'm not sure if it still has any charge
* Rear window & passenger window electric motors work, but they're off the track.
* Trans gasket leaks, but a new gasket & trans filter is included.
This would make a good 4WD Winter beater, trail rig, plow or hunting vehicle. It's just not exactly what I was hoping for in regards to the axles I wanted for my project. If I don't hear from anyone by the end of today, I'll be listing it on eBay by tomorrow (Tuesday) night at the latest.
Call me if you're interested, as you'll get the fastest response that way.
Thanks,
Craig
