whats better smity built or tmax winches??

i am throwing up the ideal of buying eather a smitty built or a tmax.
whats better looking at the 8k range not doing any major pulling.
mainly a just in case so not worried about line speed just the longevity of it

I would have to go with the 10k Smitty due to current promo price. Component wise it looks like a winner. It's no 8274, but good none the less. Saw one in use a short time ago and it worked ok.

used the smitybilt for 3 recoveries this weekend... never came closed to stalling. Other than the slow line speed, it seamed to work great!

Used my t-max last weekend. Worked great. Speed seemed about right for proper control.

I had a ramsey.

It sucked.
