Largest Tire?

Would anyone know what the largest 15" tire I could fit under a 1991 Explorer Sport 2 dr. would be? Hoping to tuck a 31 or 32 under it. Thanks Ahead, George.

31 would fit without much of a problem. 32 is probably streching it (also depending on how wide they are, like a 12.50), I'm not sure I'd chance it.

My 33's hit, not flexed, but turned to the stops. Mines an older truck but I don't think the opening changed a whole lot.

anyways, I think 31's are fine.

You MIGHT get 31's in there. Explorers had the small wheel openings until '95 when they got the larger openings. 30's are a safe bet, 31's would fit if you had leveling coils or completely unsagged stock coils (hah, good luck, Ford sucks in that department).

Not to divert to another forum but check out www.TheRangerStation.com and www.explorerforum.com for lots of good info on those trucks.
