TBI wiring

I have a 1.3 tbi fuel injection intake & throttle body (samurai)& I have a wiring harness from a 1.6 8v tbi(tracker) that was in another rig the harness was modified so only a few power & ground wires were needed to power ecm. the wires on the tbis have the same plugs. Im wondering if I can use the 1.6 harness to make the 1.3 tbi work ?.

I checked more into the wiring & there are slight differences so I am using a 1.6 tbi on the sami tbi manifold & the modified harness & I mounted the tracker in tank fuel pumpin the sami tank should be running soon

just in case you don't have it.

downloads of the factory manuals including the tbi supplement;
http://www.suzukiinfo.com/

It has been a very long time since I looked at any of this, but I belive you will want to use the 1.6 manifold too. there are vacume passages in the bottom of the throttle body that don't match the 1.3 manifold.

I thought the manifolds both tbi looked the same had it running but it flooded out (in between starts) the fuel pump dosent shut off after 3 seconds like its suposed to this modified harness came out of a rig that worked sweet until the #4 conecting rod went thru the block Ive got to re check conections make sure I did not miss a ground or power conection.

like I was saying, it's been a loonng time........
if it worked in the rig it came from then find out what computer they used. the plugs are the same but I am positve the pins were different between the 1.3 and the 1.6 computers.

I was looking at the wiring diagrams for the 1.6 & it looks like you may have a bad feul pump relay or a bad ground at the relay. hope that helps.

O2 sensors are like $15.- at autozoners for the generic one. It made a huge difference in mine.
