and actually someone had replied to another thread today with this video saying they had tried it, look in the pub and see if you find it

Sweet! Thanks for posting that video. I forgot all about that process. We did that back in junior high science class. I have been grinding, wire brushing then coating with rust mort all winter. I'm definitely going to get this process going on my rusty Jeep parts.

I saw that episode! Good info but my battery charger is one of those stupid computer chip controlled things! guess I'll have to start looking at garage sales for an older one to do this with.

i have one of those set up pools, I think if I fill it up, I could easily fit entire cj7 tub in it :)

They have it near the laundry detergent at Meijer.

I tried this over the weekend, i had mixed results.

It seemed to remove the rust fairly well, but it took 3 days and i still had to touch up a few areas with a wire wheel.

Not too bad if your willing to wait awhile.

We tried it once, it worked to an extent. Took a majority of the rust off, but there was still a bunch left.
