Super Swamper SSR review.

I would rate them a 9 out of 10.

I have a set of 32x11.5x15 Super Swamper SSR's, and here is my review...

I have been very impressed with these tires. They currently have 25,000 miles on them, and have enough life to go one or two more seasons. They are quiet on the road, and handle more like an all terrain tire. I run them at 50psi for less rolling resistance. There is a guy that passes me on the highway daily, and I can here his bfg mud terrains over the swampers.

They are great offroad and on. The only flaw I have found is the wet weather traction. They spin fairly easy on wet roads.

My friend has 33x14.50r15 SSR's on his TJ and they are alot quieter than the MT/R's I had on my cherokee.

I ran 37x12.5 for several years on my Toyota, they worked great for me and I never had any problems with them. They do have a weak (radial) sidewall. I bought my tires used and the spare had been punctured with less then 1 mile of trail on them.

Good street manners and worked pretty good offroad as well. At least the price has come down on them a little. :tonka: and you can get them with a 20" wheel

The review probably would be more beneficial if you could list all the previous tires and their sizes you have had in the past. Gives us a better idea of where your 9/10 comes from.

31X10.5x15 Goodyear at/s 7/10 Great street and snow tire. Good everywhere except soupy mud.

33x12.5x15 Super Swamper Thornbirds 5/10 shitty on road but better than expected offroad. They where great for keeping up the wheel speed in a 4 banger. Side lugs would bite in nicely when needed.

14X32X15 Goodyear race slicks 10/10 over 600 passes in a 10 second car and had to throw them out because of dry rot.

225X60X15 Kelley Chargers 10/10 I beat these things daily on my old Comanche and they would not where out. It took 4 years of beating to kill them. My Comanche had a built 4.0 that would beat up mustangs and camaros, it also cracked windshields twisting the unibody. Man do I miss that truck

205X50x15 Khumo Excstas (or something like that) 8/10 great street tire for the price, but seemed to where kind of fast, or I was cornering to aggressively in the old GTI.

225x75x15 Firestone load range C (i forget the model) 10/10 I got about six years out of these as a winter tire and they have between 1/4 and 3/8th's of an inch of tread left.

31X10.5x15 Goodyear rt/s "low milage winter tire review" 6~7/10. I've only put a few houndred miles on them. They ride smooth, but i'm not crossing my fingers for offroad. They might be a great dunes tire though.

28X10.5X15 M/T slicks 10/10 hook great even with no burnout on a 11 second Duster.

225X75X16 Goodyear SRA 8.5/10 Great street and winter tire, but most likley not a good off road tire. I'm running these on my 2wd Ram with a built 5.9 and they perform great on the road.

I've only owned two different YJ's and have ran the Goodyear AT/S, RT/S, and the Thornbirds and SSR's on them, but those are my opinions on some of the others tires I have run on a variety of other vehicles.

That makes it easier to understand where your 9/10 comes from. You never ran any other off-road tire before...I don't count thornbirds....:)

I am on my second set, I had a set of 32x11.50 for around 9,000 miles before I sold them to my dad and bought a set of 33s! I love them, they run smooth and arent that loud at all. Plus they rule offroad. My dad is currently having a problem with one of his though. We think a belt shifted for some reason, maybe when they took them off mine and put them on his. He is going to send it back to the dealer and swamper will send him a new one.

i sold my old set but the guy never mounted them on tires and they are sitting in his garage so im gunna buy them back from him they got about 50% tread on them

I have 37x12.5x17 ssr's and think there great. Great on the road and off the road. Only problem i have is getting them to hook up on the road when its wet, kinda my fault though with over 400hp and a welded rear in a mini truck :tonka: but they do that when its dry to though

I put almost 20k on a set of 33x12.5 SSR's after buying them with 50%-60% tread on them. Worked pretty well off road, fairly quite. I would say the biggest downfall is wet conditions.

8/10 for DD purpose
