4x4 quads...what do you guys like for tires?

Maxxis Bighorns are pretty good all purpose tires, as are the Carlisle ACTs (same as Polaris PXTs).

MudLites are a good more aggressive tire.

Watch tire weights - they can get heavy.

if you have a powerful enough quad check into the super swamper vampires. great tires i have them on mine. great in the mud, snow, sand, but not to great at handling on dry ground. you need at least a 450cc but 600 or better is good. these tires weigh in at 35lbs a piece. the other tires i've heard work well in just about anything are the ITP 589's.

I have the mudmachine Magnums on my P650. its ok with them but I loose the top speed off the machine. I wouldn't take them over 40 mph as the weight makes them expand and the handling goes byebye, aside from that I have never have tire more aggressive, almost to aggressive. I have been high centered because they tossed to much mud out from under the machine. depending on what machine you get the tire will make or break it.

I'm running mudlite xtr's on the ranger. If I wouldn't have found them at a swap meet for a decent price I doubt I would have bought them because they are very steep in price. After running them in Canada, you couldn't talk me out of them now.

I sell alot of AMS Swamp Fox's. they are cheap aggressive and seem to wear very well.

mud sharks are real good mud,snow,and sand tire. I have the mud lites on my wheeler and i don't really care for them. if you want good traction on trails(solid ground) don't go with a directional tire. I just don't think they bite quite as good. just my .02.

ITP 489s came stock on my polaris. Outstanding tire. When they wear out I would definitely replace them with 589s
